It can be seen looking in the northwesterly direction at about 9 or 10 degrees above the horizon. The best time to view it over the next couple of days is about an hour after sunset. It can be viewed from the northern hemisphere through July. Once it disappears from view, it will not be visible from Earth for another 6,800 years. For full disclosure, this photographer had a hard time seeing it with his naked eye. Experts says it can be seen with binoculars from a dark location away from light pollution. However, the camera can see it with a long exposure. This was photographed with a Canon 1Dx Mark II. Exposure time was between 20-30 seconds at f/2.8-4.5 at ISO 500-1000 depending on lighting conditions.
