Photos: Panthers, foxes, bobcats, bears trip Southwest Florida photographer's motion sensor camera

A gray fox uses a trail at the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed to move through the upland forest on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019. It was photographed by a motion sensor camera trap set up in the watershed by News-Press photographer Andrew West. They are more abundant in northern Florida. According to the FWC website: Mice, rats and rabbits are the mainstays of the gray fox's diet, although it will consume almost anything edible. All types of small birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, fruits, berries, insects, and some carrion serve to supplement the diet.
