Demi Lovato shows the barefoot moment Max Ehrich proposed on Malibu beach: 'Best night of my life'

Sorry not sorry, Demi Lovato fans: The singer is officially off the market.

Lovato, 27, is engaged to 29-year-old "The Young and the Restless" alum Max Ehrich, the couple announced early Thursday morning.

On Sunday, Lovato showed the exact moment Ehrich proposed on a Malibu beach on one knee in the sand. The barefoot Lovato has her high heels in her hands as she hugs Ehrich once he stands.

"Best night of my life... still soaking it all up.. I love you baby," she wrote on Instagram.

Ehrich noted on Instagram Sunday that "Crash Into Me" by the Dave Matthews Band was playing during the proposal. "Still floating," he wrote. "Love you more each and every second."

"I knew I loved you the moment I met you," the singer wrote to her future husband Thursday. "It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too.. I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all."

In Thursday's engagement photos captured on the beach – Lovato thanked photographer Angelo Kritikos for "hiding behind rocks and capturing the whole thing" – Ehrich wore all black while Lovato had on a long sleeve white dress and showed off a large emerald cut ring.

"You never pressure me to be anything other than myself," she continued. "And you make me want to be the best version of myself. I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage. I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here’s to our future!!!!"

Rumors began swirling about a relationship between Lovato and Ehrich earlier this year and were confirmed in Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber's May music video for "Stuck With You," during which the couple shared a video of themselves kissing in quarantine.

"Happy to be a part of something so special right now," Lovato wrote in a May 8 Instagram post alongside the clip of them kissing. "Like really REALLY happy if you can’t tell"

In 2011, Ehrich posted on Twitter that all he wanted "for Christmas was Demi Lovato."

"#cantalwaysgetwhatyouwant," he added, though it appears nearly nine years later that he can.

In his Thursday morning announcement, Ehrich wrote he was "so excited" and vowed to "forever cherish" Lovato's "pure beautiful infinite soul."

"You are every love song, every film, every lyric, every poem, everything I could ever dream of and then some in a partner in life," he added. "Words cannot express how infinitely in love with you I am forever and always and then some. I cannot spend another second of my time here on Earth without the miracle of having you as my wife. here’s to forever baby."
