10 restaurants with a waterfront view at Jacksonville’s Beaches

It’s warming up outside, making it the perfect time to grab a meal or cocktail along one of the area's waterfront restaurants and listen to the seagulls near the Jacksonville Beach Pier, watch workers in the fishing boats along the St. Johns River or enjoy the peace of the Intracoastal Waterway. From flip flops to fine dining, here are some local waterfront options at Jacksonville’s beaches.

Casa Marina Restaurant

Address: 691 1st St. N. Jacksonville Beach

Hours: Rooftop open 3 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 1 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday. Sunday brunch is 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Casa Marina is one of Florida's oldest hotels. In addition to lodging, it offers a restaurant and a rooftop bar for guests and visitors. Diners can enjoy the Sunday brunch in the main dining room and seating along the ocean. And appetizers, sliders, crab cakes and seared ahi tuna, as well as cocktails, are among the items available for those who want to enjoy rooftop seating. The view makes the climb well worth it, or use the service elevator.

Azurea in One Ocean Resort

Address: 1 Ocean Blvd., Atlantic Beach

Hours: 3 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday, noon to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to midnight Sunday.

Located inside the old Sea Turtle Inn, Azurea offers a beach-front view for guests of the resort or the restaurant. With tables and comfy couches, guests can enjoy fresh seafood, a steak or drinks in an area by the resort pool.

LandShark Bar & Grill 

Address: 715 1st. St. N., Jacksonville Beach

Hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.

Located at Margaritaville Beach Hotel Jacksonville Beach, LandShark Bar & Grill offers great views of the beach and the Jacksonville Beach Pier from inside and outside the restaurant while sipping on some of the bar's signature margaritas. (Hey, it's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?)

Lemon Bar

Address: 2 Lemon St., Neptune Beach

Hours: 12:30 to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, noon to 10 p.m. Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Located in the courtyard area of the Seahorse Oceanfront Inn in Neptune Beach, Lemon Bar has a large outdoor seating area on the Atlantic Ocean. While it's known for its happy hour, it also serves sandwiches, salads and seafood.

Safe Harbor Seafood Market and Restaurant

Address: 4378 Ocean St., Mayport

Hours: 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Safe Harbor has been around for more than 25 years and is a destination location for many visitors and locals. Order your food at the counter and then find a seat outside along the docks, though there are a few tables inside. You can even pick up some fresh seafood at the market to prepare later at home.

Singleton's Seafood Shack

Address: 4728 Ocean St., Mayport

Hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Singleton's has been around for more than seven decades. Generations of locals have eaten shrimp and hushpuppies in the shack along the St. Johns River. While there's plenty of indoor dining, there's also a deck on the back that provides dining with a view.

Southern Kitchen and Bar

Address: 831 1st St. Jacksonville Beach

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday.

The restaurant is no longer associated with Chef Kenny Gilbert. Instead, Chef Shane Cheshire, formerly of Beaches favorite First Street Grill & Bar, is now part of the team. The menu features southern classics, including seafood, steaks and barbecue. Diners can enjoy the view from the second-floor dining room or on the patio.

Joe's Crab Shack

Address: 6 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach

Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

In the heart of Jacksonville Beach and right on the Atlantic Ocean, Joe's Crab Shack has crab buckets, steampots, dried favorites, fish tacos and signature drinks along with plenty of indoor and outdoor dining.

Mavi Waterfront Bar & Grill

Mavi Waterfront Bar & Grill offers a variety of seafood, including mussels and octopus. They also serve salads, burgers, pasta, steak, lamb chops, a beer-battered pretzel and more. It’s hard to beat the views, especially when they also often offer live entertainment.

Dockside Seafood Restaurant

Address: 2510 2nd Ave. N., Jacksonville Beach

Hours: 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Located next to the Jacksonville Beach Boat ramp, diners can drive up or boat up to Dockside and dine with a great view of the Intracoastal Waterway. The restaurant comes from the same group that brought us Marker 32 and Palm Valley, North Atlantic and St. Augustine Fish Camps.
