Oprah Winfrey
Plan to see Oprah Winfrey, whose show "Oprah's 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus" is Jan. 4 at the BB&T Center in Sunrise.
Pre-register for tickets by Sept. 12. The Florida show kicks off nine shows on her U.S. tour and is the only one in the Sunshine State. The other closest cities to Florida are Charlotte, North Carolina, on Jan. 18 and Atlanta on Jan. 25.
"Each city is going to feature a different lineup of celebrity guests and some of the biggest names in wellness, people from all walks of life who took charge of their lives and created lasting change," Winfrey said in a video promoting the tour.
Winfrey, 65, is best known for her talk show that ran 25 years, from 1986 to 2011. "The Oprah Winfrey Show" is the highest-rated program of its kind in history. Her net worth is nearly $3 billion.
Amy Grant
Last call to see Amy Grant, the Christian-pop crossover singer known for hits including "Baby, Baby" and "House of Love" and her duet with Peter Cetera, "The Next Time I Fall."
Grant, 58, visits Florida this month for four shows: Sept. 12 at Florida Theatre in Jacksonville; Sept. 13 at Capitol Theatre in Clearwater; Sept. 14 at the Southwest Florida Event Center in Bonita Springs; and Sept. 15 at Key West Theater, where all that remains are tickets starting at $120.
Grant, married to musician Vince Gill, in the past has performed with her husband but this will be a solo tour.
Maroon 5
The tour of pop group Maroon 5, led by frontman Adam Levine, dives into Florida with an Oct. 25 show set for Hard Rock Live Hollywood.
Tickets for the concert begin around $300.
The Los Angeles-based band in 2005 won a Grammy for Best New Artist and has gone on to score numerous hits including "Sugar," "She Will Be Loved" and "Sunday Morning."
Maroon 5 gained even more notoriety when Levine co-starred on the NBC reality talent show "The Voice" from 2011 to this year.
