David Portnoy has traveled the United States in search of amazing pizza, popping into restaurants, ordering a pizza and reviewing them by video on the spot.

Titled "One Bite with Davey Pageviews," the popular YouTube segments receive thousands of views. His latest review from a couple days ago features a Southwest Florida pizza joint and already has more than 170,000 views.

Portnoy — who in 2003 founded the popular sports and pop-culture digital media company Barstool Sports — reviewed Grandpa's Pizza in Bonita Springs, owned by Joseph and Antonietta Minetti.

To answer why he chose Grandpa's Pizza for a review, he said in the eight-minute video: "I'm criss-crossing this whole state, and somehow we identifed five places to go to."

"Why do I like grandpa? Because these two are in there working," Portnoy says, holding up a Grandpa's Pizza flier that features a photo of owners Joseph and Antonietta Minetti.

Joseph and Antonietta Minetti own Grandpa's Pizza, a Bonita Springs takeout joint that has inhabited the same sliver of a space on Old 41 Road for more than 40 years.

The pizza place has inhabited the same sliver of a space, 27030 Old 41 Road, in downtown Bonita for 41 years.

Before Portnoy digs into a fresh pie the Minettis created, Portnoy proclaims: "Ooh, this feels good. This feels like New York."

Then Portnoy bites a the front and part of the crust.

"This is almost as good a piece of pizza I feel like you can have in Florida," he said. "This tastes like I'm in New York, even though they're from Pittsburgh."

"Light, fresh, tangy. Grandpa's Pizza. It's a little hole in the wall. Look at this," as he moves his phone to show the store front. "That's the definition of a hole in the wall. And it's these two making pies," as he holds up the flier again, "for four decades straight."

JosephMinetti sprinkles what he calls "holy water," his special ingredient on one of his creations at Grandpa's Pizza, a Bonita Springs takeout joint that has inhabited the same sliver of a space on Old 41 Road for more than four decades.

After another bite, Portnoy said: "As good a class of pizza you can really have."

He then rated the pizza 7.8 out of 10, repeating again that it's as good as it gets for pizza in Florida.

"Like, I'm in the middle of nowhere. Bonita Springs," which Portnoy pronounced BO-nita Springs. "Seven-eight. What a pleasant surprise."

The video then features an interview with the Minettis, who have memorabilia from the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates (and some Philadephia Eagles decorations) throughout Grandpa's Pizza.

"You guys are clearly from Pittsburgh, right?" Portnoy asked. "No, we're from Naples, Italy," replied Joseph Minetti. "We just like the Steelers."

Minetti said they arrived in the U.S. from Naples, Italy, in the mid-1970s, and lived in New York and Philadelphia before moving to Florida.

The two then head outside as Minetti hands Portnoy a "specialty pizza."

Portnoy said the second pie tastes good enough to win a national pizza contest. He rated it an 8.1 "on the fancy scale."

"This is excellent, unique, but you need eight people," Portnoy said, adding each piece is a meal unto itself. "One slice a person."
