1. Saturday: Big Green EGGfest at Riverside Park in Bonita

Amateur and professional chefs compete for the title of Grill Master at the fifth-annual Big Green EGGfest.

Try food samples from the competing chefs and cast votes for your favorites. The festival includes beer, wine, live music and grilling demonstrations.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 13. A $20 “taster ticket” is required for entry and includes all-you-can-eat, bite-sized samples from each chef and three ballots to vote. $50 VIP tickets also give you access to the VIP section and an open bar. 2. Starts Wednesday: ‘Love Letters’ at Arts Center Theatre

At the Arts Center Theatre through April 21: “Love Letters” by A.R. Gurney – A heartwarming tale of lifelong correspondence between two captivating characters.

With five unique casts performing in rotation, experience the depth of feeling and precision of detail that has made this play a smash hit both off and on Broadway.

3. Victor Wainwright & The Train perform at Arts Bonita

The popular singer, songwriter and pianist and his band return for another Arts Bonita show.

Victor Wainwright has won multiple Blues Music Awards and was nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album.
