Social Scene: Happy Hour for Hope at the Hilton

Meals of Hope of Marco Island

Great food and lots of dancing made this recent Meals of Hope fundraiser a positively delightful Happy Hour for Hope! Hosted by the Noontime Rotary Club, the Hilton was the place to be for music by Jason Beal, enhanced by a delicious assortment of appetizers, including shrimp tempura, chicken satay, bacon-wrapped dates, and spring rolls.

Noontime Rotarians Tyler Canady, Deb Henry, and Linda Sandlin staffed the check-in desk, welcoming guests to this good time for a good cause. Admission was a suggested donation of just $20. A 50-50 drawing added to the fun and funds. The lucky winner, Deb Henry, generously donated her prize money right back to the cause.

Happy Hours for Hope are monthly gatherings hosted by Sunrise Rotary, Noontime Rotary and the Kiwanis Club of Marco Island. These fundraisers support Meals of Hope of Marco Island, an organization dedicated to ending hunger in our community. All funds raised will help purchase raw materials for the Meals of Hope packaging event on Nov. 9.

Mark your calendar now for the next Happy Hour for Hope from 5 until 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, at Mango’s with music by Konstantino! As always, the public is invited!
