Hurricane Irma maintains maximum winds of 185 mph in the latest 5 p.m. advisory from the National Hurricane Center.
Irma continues to move west at 15 mph with a central pressure of 926 milibars.
The storm is currently located about 135 miles east of Antigua.
According to the NHC, the government of the Dominican Republic has issued a Hurricane Warning along the north coast of the Dominican Republic from the border with Haiti eastward to Cabo Engano. A tropical storm warning has been issued for the south coast of the Dominican Republic from south of Cabo Engano westward to the southern border with Haiti.
