The glue that holds us together is shaped as a cross

Last month, I wrote about the greatest Book of all time - the Bible - and how it has had life-changing influence for millions over the years.  There are people around us today who think it is outdated and irrelevant, but they are SO wrong.  For believers, it has the answers to life’s hardest questions!

It is also a Book of fulfilled prophecies.  Cyrus. a king of Persia, was spoken of by God, in Isaiah chapter 45, years before he was even born.  Cyrus allowed the Jewish exiles to return to their homeland to rebuild their Temple and their homes after 70 years of captivity in Babylon.  God knows everything -- the past, the present and the future.  There are many prophecies in the Old Testament about the birth, life and death of Jesus Christ, that were fulfilled to the letter while Christ was on earth.  He was born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)  God would call Him out of Egypt after being taken there for safety (Hosea 11:1) and would suffer an excruciating death (Isaiah chapter 53) and will one day take His place as King of Kings  (Revelation 21:1-5)  - this has not happened yet,  but it certainly will in the near future!

I was given a video to watch by a new friend and if you would like to see this account of just how amazing and wonderful God IS -- just Google “How Great is Our God” presented by Louie Giglio.  He has an interesting way of comparing our earth as the size of a golf ball to the sun and then to larger stars in other galaxies -- and then he winds up this presentation by giving details of how babies are knit together in their mother’s womb.

Mr. Giglio had met a molecular biologist in Texas and learned some AMAZING details of the creation of our human bodies.  He was told about a ‘glue’ that serves us in holding our cells - our bodies - together; it is called Laminin.  These verses are in Colossians 1: 16 and 17  “For by Him (Jesus Christ) all things are created, both in the heavens and on the earth, visible and invisible…all things have been created through Him and for Him, and in Him all things hold together.”

This Laminin, seen by an electron microscope, is in the form of a cross. So we are held together by countless tiny crosses in our bodies.  FASCINATING to discover, and to think it is all TRUE!  That boosts our faith in a God Who is bigger than we can begin to imagine. And yet He knows us, and made us all very intricately in our mother’s womb.  Each baby is a miracle!  We are ALL miracles!

We serve a mighty, wonderful amazing God Who loves us in spite of our fears and worries - Who gives us peace in the midst of the storms of life and Who paid for all our sin on the cross, so that we can believe that and accept what He has done for us, thus giving us the privilege of spending eternity with Him, if we so choose.

Be sure to watch that video -- it will blow you away!  Thank you to my new friend who took time to inform me.  When God tells us “Be not afraid”  HE MEANS IT!
