This is the final of a series of three postseason articles recapping the milestone 25th anniversary season of Marco Island Senior Softball.

This week the spotlight is on the Gulf Coast Division, which offered some of the most exciting games of the year and includes many of the longtime league players. The league appreciates the contributions of the sponsors and team managers of the four teams.

In addition, thanks to the assistant coaches, players, families, fans, umpires, booth volunteers, and finally the City Parks & Rec maintenance personnel Bill Cookson and Lucy Crabtree who always had the field in great shape and ready to use every game day.

On a sad note, the league lost two of its current players during the season, Bill Dauch and Gene Wahler, both from the Crazy Flamingo. The league expresses its sincere condolences to the families of both of these men.

Crazy Flamingo managed by Mick Keller.
American Legion managed by Mike Arnold.
Oyster Society managed by Roger Fleming.
