NDN Athlete of the Week winner for Nov. 18-30: David Gomez, Lely soccer
Lely soccer player David Gomez has been voted the Naples Daily News Athlete of the Week for Nov. 18-30.
Gomez had three goals and three assists to lead the Trojans to three straight victories. He received 560 of the 1,226 votes (45.7 percent) in the Daily News' online poll.
Barron Collier soccer player Mary May was second in the poll with 432 votes (35.2 percent). First Baptist basketball player Peyton Urbancic received 126 votes and Barron Collier basketball player Jada McCray had 108.
A new Athlete of the Week poll will be posted at 7 a.m. each Monday, and voting is open until 10 a.m. Thursday. Winners receive an Athlete of the Week T-shirt by BSN SPORTS as well as a Naples Daily News gift bag. A video featuring the winner will be posted Thursday on naplesnews.com.

Boys Basketball
Peyton Urbancic, First Baptist – Scored 38 points total in two games to lead the Lions to two victories
Girls Basketball
Jada McCray, Barron Collier – Averaged 26.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in the Cougars’ first five games of the season
Boys Soccer
David Gomez, Lely – Totaled three goals and three assists in three wins, helping the Trojans remain undefeated
Girls Soccer
Mary May, Barron Collier – Scored a goal and added an assist in a win over Riverdale on her 18th birthday
