VOTE NOW: Naples Daily News Athlete of the Week for Dec. 2-7, 2019

It’s time to vote for the Naples Daily News high school athlete of the week. Voting begins each Monday at 7 a.m. and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Nominees are derived from scores and stats emailed in by Collier County’s coaches during the week. Voting begins each Monday at 7 a.m.

Voting is restricted to once per hour per device.

Coaches can email scores to sports@naplesnews.com. The deadline for each night’s results is 10:30 p.m.

Each winner will be presented with an Athlete of the Week T-shirt by BSN SPORTS as well as a Naples Daily News gift bag. A video featuring the winner will be posted Thursday on naplesnews.com.

The nominees for Dec. 2-7 are:

Boys Basketball

Tony Green, Naples – Scored 27 points in two wins as the Golden Eagles improved to 3-0

Girls Basketball

Katie Ambrose, Gulf Coast – Totaled 32 points, 14 rebounds, 19 assists and seven steals in four games last week

Boys Soccer

Leonel Sebastian, Immokalee – Scored the game-winning goal in the Indians’ win over Gulf Coast

Girls Soccer

Rachel Basik, Barron Collier – Tallied two goals and two assists in two wins to help the Cougars remain undefeated
